Maundy Thursday 14th April to Easter Sunday 17th April 2022

DEADLINE FOR BOOKINGS: Friday 1st April
Cross Walk – for anyone who would like to experience a walking pilgrimage during Holy Week (from Palm Sunday 10th – Maundy Thursday 14th April), you are invited to join a group walking to Worth Abbey from St Joseph’s Parish, Brighton – carrying a cross.
The Easter Triduum – the celebration of our salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ – is the greatest Feast of the year for us as Christians; it is the centre-point and climax of the life of Jesus, and therefore of us as his followers. We are invited to enter into this important celebration with solemn reverence, prayer and devotion.
Participants will receive a Fundraising Toolkit with a variety of practical ideas to help meet the cost, should this present a challenge. One such idea is to find a sponsor. Should finances still be a problem please discuss this with us.
The monastic community at Worth Abbey invite you to join us for this great Feast.
Programme: An opportunity to participate in the Easter Liturgy and monastic rhythm of prayer, enter more deeply into the Easter mystery, space for personal reflection, and the opportunity for Reconciliation, as well as social time, building community and friendship.
Retreat Arrivals: Please arrive from 4.30pm on Maundy Thursday 14th April. Supper is at 6pm, followed by a welcome and introduction session. The Mass of the Lord’s Supper is at 8:30pm.
