Coronavirus (Covid-19) – UPDATE 8.10.20

Due to the ongoing situation regarding Covid-19, recently revised government guidance and the continued need for social distancing measures, Worth Abbey Projects Ltd has taken the very difficult decision not to re-open The Open Cloister to residential and day guests for the remainder of this year.   Our plan is to re-open in the new year with a new programme of retreats and calendar of bookings.  We will update the website with the new programme when available and further news as necessary.

We realise that this news will be very disappointing for many but we hope that in these uncertain times you will understand that we have made this decision out of a duty of care to everyone – the monastic community, our guests, visitors, staff and on-site residents.  We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Worth very soon.

WORTH ABBEY CHURCH IS OPEN FOR MASS AS FOLLOWS:

Saturday Vigil Mass 5.00pm

Sunday 9.30am

Tuesday 10.00am

It is no longer necessary to register your attendance, via the parish website.

For those that need to ‘shield’ we will continue to stream our monastic office as well as the monastic community Mass at the later time of 11.30am on Sunday; which is a private mass.
