Closure and Coronavirus (Covid-19) – UPDATE 5.11.20

Given the most recent government guidance and the subsequent national lockdown, plus the continued uncertainty moving forward, Worth Abbey Projects Ltd has taken the very difficult decision not to re-open The Open Cloister to residential and day guests until Easter 2021.   It was our plan is to re-open in the New Year, however, events have overtaken this and we are now working towards and looking forward to re-opening at Easter with a new and exciting programme of events and retreats!  Remember to keep checking back here for news and updates.

We realise that this news will be very disappointing for many but we hope that in these uncertain times you will understand that we have made this decision out of a duty of care to everyone – the monastic community, our guests, visitors, staff and on-site residents.  We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Worth next year!

WORTH ABBEY CHURCH IS CLOSED INCLUDING FOR PUBLIC MASS but we will continue to stream the monastic office as well as the monastic community Mass at 11.30am on Sunday; which is a private mass.
