Coronavirus (Covid-19) – UPDATE

In light of the Government’s most recent advice in relation to Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the continued need for ‘social distancing’ measures, Worth Abbey Projects Ltd has, after much consideration, taken the difficult decision to cancel all retreats, bookings and lettings that were due to use Worth Abbey and Worth School accommodation until the end of August 2020.  We are currently working towards welcoming guests and visitors to Worth from September, however, this is dependent upon the ongoing situation regarding the pandemic and Government advice for such operations.

We know that this will be very disappointing for you but we hope that in these uncertain times you will understand that we have made this decision out of a duty of care to everyone – the monastic community, our guests, visitors, staff and on-site residents.  Please keep checking this website for further updates.

The Abbey Church is open for Mass as follows:

Saturday Vigil Mass 5.00pm

Sunday 9.30am

Tuesday 10.00am

Please see the parish website  for further information and to register your attendance. This is necessary due to the limited capacity, in line with social distancing measures that are in place.

For those that need to continue to ‘shield’ we will continue to stream our monastic office as well as the monastic community Mass at the later time of 11.30am on Sunday; which is a private mass.
